Honey

Local Honey is really important to us.

Most of our honey comes from master bee keeper Jim Hopkins who has been bee keeping in Fillongley ( just 4 miles away) for more than 40 years. He supplies us with beautiful liquid golden runny honey and also creamed set honey.

Every summer we have a Meet the Queen Day - when Jim brings his bees in a glass fronted demonstrative hive to the shop.

Children and adults peak into the secret work of the honey bee and talk to Jim to discover all sorts of facts about this mysterious and wonderful creature and the fantastic product it makes!
