Cheeses of the month – March Following our true story of ‘Romance over the cheese’ - we have just had to choose these three cheeses as our 'Cheeses of Love'  for the month of March!  Berkswell Ewe This is one of our all time favourite hard sheep cheeses. It’s very more-ish! And it our local cheese - made just up the road at Berkswell at Ram Hall Farm The taste is sweet and dryish, sometimes described as similar to Pecorino. Romance over the cheese ! Yesterday one of our young local customers came in and very carefully selected three cheeses -  'they are my girlfirend's favourites' he said. He then asked if he could buy one of our wicker shopping baskets that we use in the shop. We couldn't really sell him one - as they are a bit old and battered  -  but agreed to  lend him one instead as he was so insistant that he wanted one. Medlar Jelly and cheese A strange but tasty coincidence happened just a couple of evenings ago. One of our local Earlsdon customers Rowena kindly gave us some of her homemade Medlar cheese she had made for us to try. Just as I was opening the package with the intention of pairing it with a piece of my favourite Colston Basset Stilton while enjoying watching BBC Countryfile on the telly - up came the owner of Tracklements - the family firm that makes a range of pickles and chutneys that are firm ....
